Privacy Policy
Nestifind is a private-nest location and safety app. This policy explains the information processed when you use the app and its support pages.
Information we process
Account and identity information
We process your email address, display name, secure credential records, session identifiers, profile color and photo, optional profile details and account identifiers. Google or Apple sign-in may provide a provider identifier, verified email, name and profile image.
Precise and background location
When sharing and device permissions are enabled, Nestifind processes precise coordinates, accuracy, heading, speed and timestamps. Background permission allows updates while the app is not open. Authorized nest members can see shared location information. You can pause sharing or change permissions at any time.
Battery, driving and perches
Updates may include battery percentage and charging state. Nestifind derives trip times, distance, speed and possible driving-risk events. Perches contain a name, center, radius, creator, nest and entry/exit events.
Photos, stories and nest content
We process profile images and 24-hour story photos, authors, selected nests, dimensions, timestamps and view receipts. We also process nest names, memberships, roles, invite codes and safety alerts.
Notifications, moderation and technical data
We process push tokens, device keys, platform information and delivery status. Reports and blocks include relevant story, nest and profile IDs, reason, status and timestamps. Servers may process request IDs, IP addresses, security metadata and error logs to protect and operate the service.
How we use information
- Provide authentication, nests, maps, history, driving reports, perches, stories and alerts.
- Apply sharing choices and authorize access to private-nest data.
- Send and retry notifications requested by app features.
- Prevent fraud and abuse, investigate reports and enforce blocks.
- Maintain reliability and respond to support, privacy and deletion requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect rights and safety.
Who receives information
Information is shared with nest members according to your selected features and settings. Service providers may process information needed for hosting, databases, email, Expo and Apple/Google push services, maps, and optional Google or Apple sign-in. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect people or the service.
Nestifind does not use precise location or story photos for third-party behavioral advertising and does not sell personal information for money.
Retention
- Raw location: retained in active systems for up to 90 days, then deleted. Completed-trip endpoint coordinates follow the same schedule.
- Stories: available for 24 hours unless deleted sooner, then removed by scheduled or opportunistic cleanup.
- Account, nest and perch data: retained while needed to provide the service or until deletion.
- Security, moderation and deletion records: retained only as reasonably necessary for safety, disputes, compliance or law.
Short-lived disaster-recovery backups may age out after deletion and are isolated from normal use.
Story safety and controls
Nestifind has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report a visible story and block or unblock its author. Reports hide the story from the reporter. Blocks suppress story visibility and notifications without removing safety-location membership. Nest owners and administrators may remove reported content they moderate.
Your choices and rights
You can pause sharing, manage permissions and notifications, choose story audiences, delete stories, report content and manage blocked authors. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or obtain a copy of personal information.
The signed-in app provides immediate account deletion. If you cannot sign in, use the public deletion request page.
Children
Nestifind is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age required by local law. Required parental or guardian consent must be obtained before a child creates an account.
Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, alteration and loss. No network or storage system is guaranteed completely secure. Providers may process information in other countries subject to applicable safeguards.
